Esteemed artist, designer and engineer Moritz Waldemeyer will ensure The Jones is lit to perfection by creating a permanent awe inspiring central light fitting to grace the atmospheric Theatre. 5th April 2006 - GuestInvest announces sister hotel for Guesthouse West.

GuestInvest, the company behind Guesthouse West, the UK's first hotel buy-to-let scheme, has announced the launch of Nest, a luxury 170-room hotel in Bayswater. Scheduled to open for business in early 2007, Nest is located close to major trasport links and within easy reach of Heathrow Airport, making it an attractive proposition for frequent flyers and business travellers.

As with Guesthouse West, Investors can buy their own fully-maintained room at Nest, stay there for up to 52 nights a year for free, and receive 50 per cent of the room’s income which is let out by the hotel on their behalf throughout the year. Rooms went on sale off-plan to investors in February, priced from £175,000 for a 999-year lease and include complimentary membership of exclusive London members’ club Home House.

Rooms at Nest have been designed by exciting new UK architects Dream Design + Architecture who, in a unique collaboration with leading British super yacht builders Pendennis, will apply boat builder ingenuity to the hotel’s design. The design of each room has focused on giving guests the best night’s sleep and the highest level of comfort, with bespoke hand-made beds from Savoir Beds, wireless access, power-showers and a 24-hour concierge service.

Johnny Sandelson, CEO and founder of GuestInvest said: “Through GuestInvest we are effectively creating a brand new asset class which is now a recommended SIPP*  investment with very attractive tax advantages. Nest also allows us to meet the demand from those who missed out on investing in Guesthouse West, and offers a fantastic opportunity to invest in a secure, hassle- and maintenance-free asset.”

Latest research suggest that London is a magnet for overseas visitors and an exciting market for hotel owners, welcoming over 11 million tourists and business travellers each year. In the first eight months of 2005, occupancy rates for London hotels were 79 per cent and are expected to rise, while revenue per available hotel room in the same period has also seen a 2.8 per cent rise.

Those interested in finding out more about Nest or Guesthouse West should call 020 7747 6880, log on to www.guestinvest.com, or visit GuestInvest’s showroom at 87 St James’s Street where a life-size Nest room is on display, London. The showroom is open from Monday - Friday 10am-6pm.

* Investors who purchase a GuestInvest room as part of a SIPP should note that while they are unable to stay in their room, their return on investment will rise accordingly as the number of let-able nights increases.

16th September 2005 - Introducing Guesthouse West;
A New Concept For the Noughties Traveller:
Cheap Chic B&B in the Heart of Notting Hill

Formally an Edwardian family home, Guesthouse West, in lively Notting Hill, is an up-to-date spin on the Great British Bed & Breakfast. Flexible, luxurious and personal, the hotel allows guests to live like locals of one of London’s most creative quarters. With its 20 rooms starting from just £145 per night + VAT including breakfast, Guesthouse West is a small but perfectly formed chic B&B for the noughties.

The brainchild of a small group of extensively travelled investors, Guesthouse West is a riposte to the fancy frills of traditional upmarket hotels with exorbitant price tags. Having stayed in grandiose hotels around the globe, the investors envisaged a contemporary B&B whose primary objective is to allow guests to become a local on arrival – quite literally a home from home – for the frequent traveller who has been there and done that. One price and one philosophy; to combine extreme comfort and accessibility at affordable prices.

The backbone of the concept is Guesthouse West’s alliances with local businesses, which provide guests with instant access to daily life in Notting Hill, facilitated by a single call to reception. On checking in to Guesthouse West, clients will be given a list of local businesses and services at their disposal during their stay. From a specially tailored personal shopping trip, in-room massage and beauty treatment, personal training session or a guided tour of London with your very own Bentley driver…. All services can be arranged with one call, to a member of the Guesthouse West team.

The rooms, though simple in design, offer everything required by a modern traveller. Elegant, understated and functional, the rooms are equipped with all mod cons, including a wireless network, flat panel television screens, digital TV, DVD players, air con and broadband. Complementing the mod cons are the practical comforts; fluffy white towels and amenities by Molton Brown.

The investors envisage that Guesthouse West will become a template for a number of future Guesthouse openings in key business cities worldwide.
